Safety of children who are growing up in an environment full of dangers and risks is a huge problem. This is a good ground for the development of aggressive behaviour and communication as well as a tolerance to violence.
Some children are often exposed to the content and experience they cannot cope with early in their life.
An additional problem is a materialistic culture in which the children are growing up; the problem is also the reduced opportunities and delayed realisation of their needs because the majority of their wishes can be granted by pressing a computer or TV buttons.
They loose patience and perseverance. Reactions of these children to problems are often impulisive and thoughtless. Parents are often too busy, anxious or haven’t got enough energy and time to deal with their children.
The children are offered some instant solutions – quick access to media or they have to manage on their own.
School on the other hand is not well adjusted to meet these children’s needs – progammes of work are too quick to follow, without enough time to consolidate what they have learnt which is in disharmony with the emotional maturity of the children.
Communication with teachers is poor and the children themselves do not communicate enough. Absence of real values in the society disorient young people and their parents in their educational work.
The absence of being with friends which includes outdoor games, cooperation and visiting each other, impeedes children’s ability to socialise and impoverishes the quality of life so the ability to adjust, exchage and develop solidarity with the peer group are getting harder and harder to develop.
