Why is our counseling center called “The Psychological Circles” ?
A CIRCLE IS
• The essence of being and moving The symbol of the whole The symbol of perfection The symbol of unity of the final and the endless The symbol of the first-recognized face of the mother “The Psychological Circles” counseling center officially opened on the first of November 1990. This formal opening was preceded by months of talks and negotiations among ten founders (or, more precisely, she-founders) of the “Circles”. Their common wish was to establish an institution which would help children, young people, adults and families to overcome various life crises. Since the following years were loaded with critical events, the initial wish was hard to fulfill. However, owing to the readiness of all who worked for the “Circles” in those years, this institution survived and was one of the few which offered psychological help in overcoming developmental and accidental crises. Nowadays, twelve counselors work for the “Psychological Circles.” They are prominent experts, specialists, university professors, sub-specialists, as well as individual, family and group therapists accredited by domestic and international psychotherapeutic associations..
WHAT WE DO?
“The Psychological Circles” counseling center offers the following services:
• individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults
• psychotherapy of partners, married couples and families
• psychological help in solving life crises and conflicts
• psycho-diagnostics
• individual psychological assessment of employees
• psychological assessment of candidates for a specific job together with psychological characteristics they need in order to work effectively
• designing sociographs as a means to discover a potential center of conflict within a company
• seminars entitled “Communication in a Team/Company” and “Stress Management”
• training of pre-school and school children’s parents as well as adolescents’ parents
• training seminars for colleagues interested in the areas we deal with
• professional orientation of future high school students and university students
